Still Around -- Still Reading -- Still Working

I am right in the middle of crunch season at the office as well as being involved in a group read of "The Return of the Native," by Thomas Hardy. I have two more group reads coming up shortly, including one of Jane Austen's "Emma." It has been about four years since the last time I read "Emma," and before I read it I have to read the Sinclair Lewis classic "Babbitt." Romance novels will be catch as catch can for the next few weeks, which is a shame because I have so many tempting books in my TBR pile, including a couple of new-to-me authors. One of the new-to-me authors is Margaret Moore, who writes novels set in the early Middle Ages for Harlequin. While other authors of historical novels often mention her as an inspiration for their own writing, Romantic Times Magazine generally only awards her three stars for her efforts. I will be curious to see whose opinion most clearly matches my own!

Happy Reading! I will be checking back on my poor neglected blog this weekend.
